The ECIS Humanities committee is responsible for inviting speakers to lead lectures and workshops at the annual November conference. The Humanities committee was one of the committees that drove ECIS to include 'global issues' in the revision of its mission statement in 2005 and hence 'global issues' are at the centre of the committee's operations. As well as jointly hosting a November pre-conference on the subject in 2007, the committee's members are heavily involved in the Global Issues Network (GIN) programme which holds a Euro-conference every October and a Global-conference every March, to which students at ECIS member schools are invited.
