WELCOME to the NEWecis
Moodle site - an international forum for ECIS members to share
thoughts, discussions, files and course material, as well as to find
exhibition speaker notes and conference information.
This is the Curriculum and Assessment Moodle Forum - Welcome! This moodle forum is especially for Curriculum Coordinators/Directors to share ideas and resources.
The ECIS Humanities committee is responsible for inviting speakers to lead lectures and workshops at the annual November conference. The Humanities committee was one of the committees that drove ECIS to include 'global issues' in the revision of its mission statement in 2005 and hence 'global issues' are at the centre of the committee's operations. As well as jointly hosting a November pre-conference on the subject in 2007, the committee's members are heavily involved in the Global Issues Network (GIN) programme which holds a Euro-conference every October and a Global-conference every March, to which students at ECIS member schools are invited.
A warm welcome to the Writing Committee page! We invite you to participate in discussion forum threads about current issues in writing across the curriculum, from the primary to secondary levels and from physical science labs to poetry to art history research papers. Please also don't hesitate to share useful Internet or print resources on writing.
The Writing Committee encourages your suggestions for potential presenters at the 2009 ECIS conference in Hamburg, as well as for its special professional development events in 2009-2010 (TBA).
